Role Summary
We are looking for a senior, hands-on People Operations leader with strong expertise in Compensation, Payroll, Data Governance, and HR Systems implementation for Regional scope (Spain, Portugal and some of European countries).
This role will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable, compliant, and data-driven people processes across the organization. The position combines strategic design with operational oversight, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and governance in all compensation and people data matters.
The role will manage one operational People team member dedicated to day-to-day administration and operational tasks.
This is a critical position to ensure reliability of data, financial alignment, legal compliance, and long-term scalability of our People infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Compensation & Rewards Strategy
· Design and maintain salary bands and job grading frameworks.
· Ensure internal equ and external market competitiveness.
· Lead annual salary review processes.
· Building of Budget in colaboration with the financial department
· Oversee benefits strategy and flexible compensation programs.
· Conduct benchmarking analysis and compensation modeling.
· Ensure reward policies are financially sustainable and scalable and aligned with the HQ policies and projects.
· You need to have a global mindset and work closely with HQ on an ongoing basis.
Payroll & Legal Compliance
· Own and supervise the end-to-end payroll process.
· Ensure accuracy in calculations and variable components.
· Coordinate with Finance to guarantee accounting alignment.
· Manage audits related to payroll and labor compliance.
· Monitor legislative updates impacting payroll and taxation.
· Ensure full compliance with Social Security and tax obligations.
HR Data Governance & Reporting
· Ensure integrity, accuracy, and consistency of all People data.
· Own HR dashboards and reporting frameworks (Power BI or similar).
· Provide data-driven insights for strategic workforce planning.
· Define and monitor People KPIs (cost, turnover, engagement, structure).
· Eliminate data inconsistencies and improve reliability standards.
HRIS / ERP Ownership & Optimization
· Lead implementation and optimization of HRIS systems (e.g.,Workday,and hibob).
· Ensure system configuration supports payroll, performance, absences, and reporting.
· Drive automation and process efficiency.
· Maintain data governance standards and security compliance.
· Partner with IT and Finance to ensure system integration alignment.
Process Standardization & Efficiency
· Design scalable operational processes across the employee lifecycle.
· Document procedures and ensure knowledge transfer.
· Reduce dependency risk through clear documentation.
· Improve efficiency through automation and workflow redesign.
Team Leadership
· Manage and develop one People Operations Specialist.
· Set performance standards and accountability framework.
· Ensure operational excellence and reliability.
Qualifications
· 7+ years in People Operations, Compensation, or Rewards roles.
· Strong experience in payroll governance and labor compliance.
· Proven track record in HRIS implementation or optimization.
· Advanced data skills (Excel, Power BI or similar).
· Strong financial acumen and collaboration with Finance teams.
· High level of attention to detail and data integrity mindset.
· Structured, process-driven, and systems-oriented.
· Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution.
· Fluent English.
